Oil painting in progress
Got up early to work. I still have a lot to do: details, soften edges, highlights etc.
Inspired by my trips to the Florida coast, I started a colorful watercolor painting of a Sea Turtle and Coral Reef.
I finally finished this 30x40 oil painting of a pond near the Wassaic-Millerton Rail Trail that runs through Amenia, NY. I actually started it a few years ago but never had time to put the finishing touches on it. So this week I darkened some areas, lightened some areas and added some palette knife strokes along with brushstrokes using thick paint.
