Betty Ann Medeiros is a fine artist, illustrator, and art instructor who is living in Danbury, CT. She is a graduate of Western Connecticut University, and is currently working on her masters in illustration. As a magazine illustrator her realistic watercolor style has been seen in several publications, such as, Country Journal Magazine, Fine Gardening Magazine, Herb Quarterly, and Cricket Magazine. As a fine artist Mrs. Medeiros has won several awards for her work and sells her signature watercolors in numerous galleries and art shows. She also works on private portrait commissions on a regular basis. Mrs. Medeiros has a licencing agreement with Applejack Art Partners of Manchester Vermont. They publish posters, cards, calandars and other commercial products for the mass market. As an art instructor Mrs. Medeiros has been teaching art classes for adults and children for 15 years. She works at Western Connecticut State University teaching watercolor, acrylics, and drawing for their non- credit continuing ed. program. At her studio she holds on-going classes for all levels of adult drawing, acrylics, pastel, and watercolor and has also taught computer classes in desktop publishing and Photo shop. Although Mrs. Medeiros' favorite medium is watercolor, she enjoys painting outdoors on location with acrylics, and doing portraits in pastels. Art is a very important part of her life and always has been. Whether she is painting herself or teaching someone else to paint you can see that she loves what she does. |
